本田選手と長谷部選手は日本代表でもあり、それぞれロシアのプレミアムリーグPSK CYSK、ドイツのブンデスリーガのVfL ヴォルフスブルグで活躍する国際的なサッカー選手。プロモーションの起用にあたり、今後は店頭を始めとする様々な場面での宣伝活動を担い、またパッケージへ登場する事も決定しているとのこと。日本語版パッケージに日本人選手が登場するのは約10年振りとなるそうです。
また、PlayStation Store及びXbox LIVEにてPS3/Xbox 360向け体験版が随時配信されていく事もあわせて告知されています。体験版ではMan City、AC Milan、Dortmund、Olympic Marseille、Barcelona、Arsenalの6チームが使用可能で、「エキシビジョンモード」が体験可能。また本作の売りの一つであるビデオアップロード機能も使用出来るそうです。
『FIFA 12 ワールドクラス サッカー』は10月20日に発売予定。価格はPS3/Xbox360版が7,665円（税込）、PSP版が4,974円（税込）です。
